Isis - sweet SPECIAL kitty needs a home!

Our shelter cat room is in transition, until we have better facilities we are not supposed to take cats. But I couldn't let Isis return to the tough life she must have had. So she's at home with me, in 'foster care' until we can find her a forever home.

Isis is special because her front paws grew 'crooked' due to a condition called Tendon Contracture. This is probably due to malnutrition. She gets around fine, but needs to be indoors because she can't defend herself. She looks a little funny, but she's never known any different.

Isis is INCREDIBLY loving. She has been starved, and wolfs down everything I give her. She's adjusting great to being around people and in a home. She does ok with dogs but is cautious of them. Needs a home with a dog who is laid back and leaves her alone or separated from her. She is scared of other cats too - but is learning to like them as long as they are friendly, or leave her alone!

This little girl has had to fight to survive her whole life. She is a black cat, which means she is harder to adopt than coloured cats, and she has her special need which also makes her harder to adopt.

Because I want to give her the same chance at a forever home every other animal gets with us - Please spread the word about this little kitty. She has huge soulful green eyes, and loves to be in your lap.

Pictures coming ASAP- her petfinder listing is HERE: http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=14949017
